菅官房長官が１８日、大阪府北部で起きた震度６弱の地震を受けた会見で、震度６弱を観測した大阪・枚方（ひらかた）市を「まいかた」と誤読する場面があった。枚方市はかねてより「まいかた」と誤読されることが多いことから、５月から「マイカタちゃいます、ひらかたです」キャンペーンを繰り広げていた。
