京都大などの研究チームは１３日、生後１０カ月の赤ちゃんが人間同士の視線の動きを観察し、「他者から見られる人」を好む傾向があることが実験で分かったと発表した。「注目される人に関心を持つ」のは人間の基本的な性質だが、発達の早い段階から社会関係の中で視線の持つ意味合いを理解している可能性を示すという。研
