環境省が絶滅危惧種に指定するシダ植物「シムライノデ」の東京都内にある自生地が、都出資の公益財団法人「都農林水産振興財団」の伐採事業により、ほぼ壊滅状態になってしまったことが分かった。研究者によると全国で唯一の自生地だったといい、財団は「事前に環境調査をしておらず、希少なシダがあることは知らなかった
