トランプ米大統領は１５日、ブレナン元米中央情報局（ＣＩＡ）長官から機密情報にアクセスする権限を剥奪（はくだつ）したと明らかにした。ブレナン氏はトランプ氏の批判者として非常に目立つ存在で、トランプ氏は異例ともいえる大統領権限の行使により反撃に出た形だ。
