九州大は学内の研究者や学生を対象に、インターネット専用の学術誌の中で「ハゲタカジャーナル」と呼ばれる粗悪な学術誌に論文を投稿しないよう指導を始めた。こうした学術誌が世界的に増えて投稿も後を絶たず、研究成果に疑念が生じる事態を防ぐためで「研究者の見識を高める必要がある」としている。文部科学省によると
