３０日投開票の知事選に立候補する前宜野湾市長の佐喜真淳氏（５４）は３日、県政記者クラブが参加を呼び掛けていた立候補予定者討論会に参加する方針を固めた。２日、自民党県連は過密スケジュールを理由に見送ると発表したが、批判の高まりを懸念し、一転、参加を決めた。
