米国務省は１１日、中国政府が新疆ウイグル自治区で少数民族ウイグル族などのイスラム教徒の弾圧を強めていることに「深い懸念」を表明した。米議会の超党派グループは中国政府当局者などに対する経済制裁の発動を求めており、政府内で検討されている。
