沖縄など南西諸島が米軍の無差別爆撃に襲われた「１０・１０空襲」から１０日で７４年となった。旧防衛庁資料などによると、旧那覇市域の９割が焼失し約１５００人が死傷。隣接する旧真和志村繁多川地域の人々の胸にも「沖縄戦の始まり」を実感させる惨禍として刻まれている。
