金融庁で仮想通貨規制のあり方を議論している研究会（座長＝神田秀樹・学習院大学大学院法務研究科教授）は１９日の会合で、仮想通貨の証拠金取引や信用取引について、金融商品取引法の適用対象とし、店頭ＦＸ（外国為替証拠金取引）より重い規制にすることでおおむね一致した。証拠金倍率の上限は欧米並みの２倍を支持する意見が複数出た。
