パ・リーグのクライマックスシリーズ（ＣＳ）ファイナルステージ第４戦が２０日、メットライフドームで行われ、昨季の日本一チームで今季レギュラーシーズン２位のソフトバンクが１０年ぶりにリーグを制した西武を８―２で下して２連勝。通算成績を３勝２敗（西武のアドバンテージ１勝を含む）とし、２年連続１８度目の日本シリーズ進出へ王手をかけた。
