生体内で生命現象を担うたんぱく質の動きや働きを知る上で欠かせない「緑色蛍光たんぱく質」（ＧＦＰ）を発見した功績で、２００８年にノーベル化学賞を受賞した米ボストン大名誉教授の下村脩（しもむら・おさむ）さんが１９日、長崎市内で死去した。９０歳。出身校の長崎大が２１日、明らかにした。
