東芝が、ラグビーのチーム運営から撤退する検討に入ったことが１日、分かった。昨年１２月に運営継続を表明したが、合理化徹底のため方針を転換した。複数の関係者によると、バスケットボールに続き、運営費の負担が大きいラグビーも他社に運営権を譲る方向で調整する。野球も見直し対象となる可能性がある。
