マツダは11月8日、バルブスプリングやエンジン制御コンピュータに不具合があるとして「アクセラ」「アテンザ」「CX-5」「CX-8」の4車種、計23万5293台のリコールを国土交通省に届け出た。対象車両の製作期間は2012年2月13日～2018年7月4日。
