がんになった労働者の３分の１が退職を余儀なくされるなか、厚生労働省の研究班が、治療と仕事の両立を図るモデル就業規則を作成した。何カ月休職すれば復職できるのかなど、研究や患者の経験を基に最適な働き方や会社の支援態勢を示している。働くがん患者の支えになりそうだ。【斎藤義彦】
