　今夏、電力不足が危ぶまれる中、鉄鋼メーカーの発電所に再び注目が集まっている。　６月下旬、新日本製鉄の君津製鉄所内の火力発電所で新たに６号機が稼働する。すでに稼働中の３基と合わせた発電総量は１１５万キロワットと原発１基分に上る。同発電所は東京電力と折半で設立した共同火力で、発電した半分ずつをそれぞれが使う。　製鉄所では操業過程で大量の副生ガスが発生する。これを有効利用するため発電所を建設、工場で必...
